Where are you from and how did you get started?
I am originally from upstate New York and have lived all over the globe including New Orleans, Italy and India. India is actually where this whole project began. I moved to the Mumbai area of India after realizing that I was not doing what I felt truly called to do. I was a lawyer doing all the things I "should" be doing but didn't feel fulfilled - questioning how I was contributing to the world and myself on a Macro or Micro level. In Mumbai, is where I wrote the Album and where the band was born. In my Bedroom in India (mainly because it was the only room with AC) After writing the Album I knew I needed "to give this baby a chance to walk" so I moved back to NYC and have been performing since 2012.
How do you manage your self-care as an artist?
It's tough but I like to run and practice yoga. I also find it necessary to meditate to take care of both the physical and spiritual self.
When I meditate I find I become the most creative. I have note pads all over the house to write down ideas.
Mediation helps me to unravel parts of the subconscious which guides movements and experiences.
Do you have new releases or upcoming shows you would like to share? We just released our EP called Irkalla in January along with that we released a few singles and tomorrow which is my birthday (August 19th ) we are releasing a video to our single Crown or Crucify.

What is challenging with wellness and/ or mental health as a musical artist?
Time constraints of course - It's a lot especially if you are independent Artists.
Societal Constraints - when I first started playing shows in 2011 and I had a prayer table on stage people thought I was hokey/ weird but for me it was a focal point of this whole band's purpose to get closer to the great energy!
Societal perceptions can be limiting. Some people are stronger and more Independent and can Rise above it. For me I have always marched to the tune of my own drum . I try to not give as much weight to what others think.
It is about balancing
Tell us about your mission as an artist!
Everything came for me as a process to get closer to spirit - everything comes down to that.
it's about having a ritual - about giving ourselves transforming through the creation of music and performance.
everything is about that connection. Individually going to the place and collectively going to the place
My favorite artists allowed me to connect deeper and I hope to do the same for others.
