Gathering the energy and sonic qualities of his idols like Evan Felker, Hank Williams Jr, and Eric Church, Joey has crafted his own unique sound which portrays his emotions and passion for country music as he displays complete control in what we experience as a masterclass in natural vocal expression. Born and Raised in Orange, TX, Joey wears his love for country music like a tattoo. After taking the necessary risks as a young artist to release independent music in 2019, Joey found great success in his streaming numbers, which have generated millions of organic digital spins across many platforms. Joey's online success eventually led him to a notable Artist Management deal in Nashville, TN in 2020. As a fiery, crowd leading entertainer, Joey has outperformed his own expectations in his first year of touring and looks forward to sky rocketing his business in 2022!

Please share a story that includes a happy memory as an artist and has made a huge impact on your artistry.

A story that made a huge impact on my career was catching Trent Willmon’s ear at a random seminar in college station and now working on a killer record because of it!

How do you choose to lead a Happy Healthy life as an artist?

I love to workout and use my art and lyrics to help people. I love watching what I do to help people and make them happy. I learned to do this from growing up with loving, encouraging parents. That encouragement made me who I am.

Was it hard work to make sure that you focused on your well-being and not only your art?

Not really, I’ve always been a healthy person. I was just born happy. It hasn’t ever been something I had to work at. I’m blessed.

Was there a turning point of how you decided to put yourself first?

I don’t think I’ve actually learned to put myself first yet. As an entertainer that’s the most difficult thing for me. I always want to make others around me feel better before myself.

How do you like to promote a healthy lifestyle?

I promote it by eating healthy, working out daily, and trying to get as much rest as possible!

Who checks in on YOU when you need it most?

My dad checks in on me all the time. This is a tough business and it can get tricky to stay in a positive mental state!

Changing habits can be hard. Which was the habit that you had to change and how it's changed your life now?

I have had to learn to control drinking to be honest. Learning to control that has helped my creativity.

Is there a song, book, movie, show, or anything that always gives you the motivation you need?

I love the movie Tombstone. That movie is a comfort and always will be a motivation to keep on keepin on.

What is the mantra of 2022?!

The mantra was definitely, work your butt off and it’ll work for you.

Give all the inside scoop on your latest project!

We have 5 songs out as of this next Friday on this new 15 song project with Trent Willmon. I’m so excited about these songs. Y’all are gonna lose it when you hear the whole thing!

We want to thank you for joining us here and are so excited about what we see from you next! Leave us with your socials!!
